Vineyard & Winery

The old myth that the climate, grapes or even the wine making skills in this country, prevented English wines competing against the best from around the world, has long since been well and truly smashed.

Our first vines were planted at Old Luxters in 1982 on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, surrounded by beech woodland and overlooking the beautiful Hambleden Valley near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK.

Since our first grape harvest in 1984, we have produced an increasing range of fine, award-winning wines to delight the eye and excite the palate. The first bottles started rolling off the bottling line at Chiltern Valley's winery in the early 1980's. We use the very latest wine making techniques and equipment to combine a respect for tradition with minimum interference to the natural processes.

With scores of trophies, awards and commendations in blind-tasted national and international competitions, we continue to secure an enviable reputation both here and abroad.

We invite you to pay us a visit to browse our unique cellar shop and sample our wines, traditional ales and tempting liqueurs, or enjoy a winery & brewery tour & tasting, or just buy online.
