Old Luxters Vineyard, Cookery & Wine Pairing School



Ignite your hunger for inspirational food and your thirst for the wine or ale that goes with it.



Whether you are an enthusiastic amateur looking to entertain at home or an experienced foodie looking to gain new inspiration, this unique course is designed especially for you.

It takes place at Old Luxters farmhouse set within our vineyard, winery and brewery complex and will give you a fresh insight into how wine, real ale and or liqueurs can transform the taste of the food itself either as part of the recipe or when enjoyed by the glass to accompany the dish.

You will be greeted by our founder David Ealand, with a glass of our fizz  followed by a brief tour behind the scenes of the winery, brewery and liqueur making facilities to discover the real world of wine, ale and liqueur production.

You will cook your way through a starter, main course and a dessert guided by our Chef Sarah Mason. There will be a short but fascinating knife skills session presented by Sarah’s husband, Justin Mason, covering the use and purpose of different types of knives from boning to filleting.











Justin and Sarah have a wealth of experience which includes running pubs in Shaftsbury Avenue and Oxford Street, a well-known restaurant, in North Cornwall and the creation of the Cornish Cookery School at Park Farmhouse near Padstow. Justin’s experience spans 3 decades many as head chef rougout the UK and Europe.


There will be a tasting of a selection of our wines, ales and liqueurs conducted by our head winemaker and Production manager Donald Ealand which will include the complex and exciting pairing different foods with each.
